Corpus Christi Explosion – 6 Hospitalized After Barge Strikes Pipeline
Six people have been hospitalized, some with severe burns, after a barge struck a gas pipeline in the port of Corpus Christi this morning causing it to explode. A giant plume of black smoke can be seen for miles.
The U. S. Coast Guard has set up a safety zone in the harbor that no vessel may enter without their clearance. Police have asked residents to stay clear of the area.
