Dorrance Twp House Explosion Kills 2, Injures 1 in PA
Two people are dead after a May 17 explosion leveled their home located at 2165 Aberdeen Rd. in Dorrance Twp., PA. Ester Hedgepeth, 66, and her husband Eugene Hedgepeth, 77, were killed in the blast. Their son, Nathan Hedgepeth, 20, was injured and transported to an area hospital.

Fire officials said a massive fire followed the first of two explosions which occurred around 1:40 a.m. The house was engulfed when they arrived and a second explosion occurred just before 2 a.m. The second blast sent a giant fireball into the sky, leveling what remained of the home, according to the Times Leader. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the blast.
