Electrical Explosion Injures Two Construction Workers in Downtown LA

Two men suffered critical burn injuries in what witnesses described as an “explosion involving electrical equipment” in downtown Los Angeles. The explosion happened on Thursday morning when two contractors employed by Edison Power Constructors were working near a loading dock at 460 S Flower St. The LA Times reported that the two workers sustained burn injuries in an “electrical arc flash while installing electrical cables inside an above-ground electric vault.”
