House Explosion in Rapatee, IL Kills 2

Propane is a suspected source in a house explosion in Rapatee, IL that killed two people yesterday. Wanda Swain, 77, and her son David Swain Jr., 51 persihed in the blast that completely destroyed the house and damaged eight other homes in the small community located about 45 minutes west of Peoria.

 

The force of the blast knocked one of the neighboring homes off of its foundation. Authorities, who are still conducting an investigation of the blast, have not released the names of the deceased.
