Sante Fe, TX Gas Explosion Injures 5

A gas explosion in Santa Fe, TX last night injured five people contract workers for CenterPoint Energy. A tower of flames that shot 15 to 20 feet in the air following the 6 p.m. blast that injured all five members of the Dayton Pipeline crew who were working near Avenue M and 24th Street.  Two of them sustained serious burns and were airlifted to an area hospital. The other three were transported by ambulance to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
