Siloam Springs, AR Gas Explosion Injures 1

An explosion in Siloam Springs, AR injured one member of a crew working to remove an underground gas tank at a defunct gas station. The October 28 explosion occurred around 11:40 a.m as the crew worked to remove the tank from the station that was located at the intersection of East Lake Francis Drive and South Lincoln Street.

The crew member was injured by flying debris. Fire officials told local media that there must have been some gas left in the tank and something caused it to ignite during the extraction process.
