Woman Dies in Luzerne County Propane Leak Explosion, 1 Still Missing
A woman died in a propane leak explosion that leveled her family’s home in Dorrance Township, PA. this morning. Her husband is still missing and her son was found injured. Officials say that two explosions took place at the home on the 2100 block of Alberdeen Road. The second blast occurred shortly after firefighters arrived at the scene around 1:30 A.M. When they arrived, they found 20-year-old Nathan Hedgepath lying on the front lawn with injuries. He was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive. He told firefighters that his parents were still inside the home with the family cat. A woman was found dead in the rubble. The search continues for the man.
