Explosion at Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill in Muskogee, Injuries Reported
Five people were injured in an explosion at a Georgia-Pacific paper mill in Muskogee, Oklahoma around 10 p.m. last night. Four people were transported to area hospitals for treatment of smoke inhalation and other explosion injuries. One person was treated at the scene.

The paper mill is one of the laregst employers in Muskogee, a city with a population of 38,000 located about 50 miles southeast of Tulsa.
Fire officials said a fire followed the explosion. They are still investigating possible sources of the blast, including a propane-fueled forklift that was in the area at the time. One hundred people were in the building when the explosion occurred. All of them have been accounted for. Employees were told to stay home this morning.
