Four Injured in Maumelle, AR Gas Explosion

Four people were injured in Maumelle, AK when a CenterPoint Energy crew was working to repair a ruptured gas line.  A construction crew ruptured the line while working near the intersection of Edgewood Drive and Windwood Lane this morning and called the fire department just after 10 a.m. The explosion occurred almost three hours later as a crew from CenterPoint Energy worked to repair the line.

Some of the injuries were serious, according to local emergency responders.

A segment of Edgewood Drive between Lake Point Drive and Pine Forest Drive has been closed.
