Propane House Explosion Seriously Burns Mother and Baby in Inola
A house explosion caused by a propane tank leak seriously injured a mother and her baby in Rogers County. Fire officials arrived at the scene on East 580 Road and South 4170 Road at about 11:00 AM on Saturday. The mother and her eight-month-old son were living in a guest house behind the main house where other family members lived. Investigators say that the explosion happened when she tried to light the stove. According to the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office, a gas leak from an outdoor propane tank caused the explosion. Both the mother and baby were taken to a Tulsa hospital where the mother later died. The baby is receiving treatment for life-threatening injuries.
