Explosion at Early Fire Department Injures 1 in Texas
An explosion behind the fire department in Early, Texas this morning injured one man who was airlifted to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. The blast occurred around 10 a.m as a PF&E Oil Co. pumper truck was delivering diesel fuel to tanks behind the building. A fire following the explosion engulfed the cab of the truck injuring the driver. A 500-gallon diesel fuel tank next to the truck was ruptured in the incident and fed the fire.
Officials are trying to determine the source of the blast.
