An explosion behind the fire department in Early, Texas this morning injured one man who was airlifted to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. The blast occurred around 10 a.m as a PF&E Oil Co. pumper truck was delivering diesel fuel to tanks behind the building. A fire following the explosion engulfed the cab of the truck injuring the driver. A 500-gallon diesel fuel tank next to the truck was ruptured in the incident and fed the fire.
Officials are trying to determine the source of the blast.
