Laws vary from state to state, but if a member of your family was killed or injured in an explosion, you may be able to sue. In most cases, a spouse, parent, or child of the victim can file a lawsuit. In some states, other family members like grandparents or aunts and uncles, can sue.

A lawsuit can help the family financially, and ensure they get justice and answers.

You can sue for wrongful death if there is evidence to support negligence or liability against a company or person. You can sue for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and loss of income.

Other factors in a wrongful death lawsuit include the victim’s age and earning capacity, life expectancy, and the number, age, or circumstances of dependents.
