Was the Husky Refinery Explosion in Superior, WI Caused by Negligence? Lawyer Seeks Answers
An explosion and fire at the Husky Energy oil refinery in Superior, Wisconsin, injured at least 20 people.
“Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy as they seek answers. Experience has taught us that explosions like this don’t happen without negligence and that family members need someone on their side to investigate and help get those answers.”

At this time, there are thankfully no fatalities from the explosion.
The investigation has already found evidence that a small tank of crude oil or asphalt was most likely involved in the explosion. The Husky Energy oil refinery in Superior processes crude oil to produce asphalt, gasoline, diesel, and heavy fuel oils.
Employees of Husky Energy and contractors were on the site during the explosion at the oil refinery, which happened just after 10 in the morning today, April 26, 2018. A contractor told KSTP News that “crews were working on shutting down for repairs” before the blast. He also said the explosion sounded like a sonic boom.
There is an evacuation order for residents in the area: “Douglas County Emergency Management has issued an evacuation order. If you are within a one mile radius of the refinery, 10 miles to the South, please evacuate now.”
