Two people were seriously injured in a house explosion in Cable Township, Wisconsin on June 14, 2018. The couple were airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) in Minneapolis.

HCMC is a Level One trauma center.

The house, located at 45975 South Lake Owen Drive. was blown apart and on fire when a Bayfield County sheriff’s deputy arrived. The two injured people are identified as Raymond and Joyce Reidl, according to KSTP. Mr. Reidl was able to escape, but Mrs. Reidl had to be pulled from the debris by first responders.

Neighbors told the Sawyer County Record they heard a “horrific explosion.” The blast could be heard 15 miles away. Officials are investigating the explosion.

Our sincere sympathies and best wishes go out to the Reidls, and we wish them the best in their quest for healing.
